SD Fire Alarms has been operating principally as a Fire Alarms Engineers for the last 25 years. Having opened our online store in 2006 we can now offer the same expertise and advice to our online customers. In addition to fire alarm systems we design, install and maintain intruder alarms, nurse call systems, security systems, CCTV, and extinguisher systems.

We are members of governing bodies and have recieved awards that confirm our proficiency and expertise in this field.


BAFE SP203		The British Approvals for Fire Equipment. BAFE SP203 is a means of assessing fire detection and alarm companies ability to design, install, test, commission and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems to British Standards; BS5839 Parts 1 to 9, BS6266, BS7273. This prestigious accreditation is only awarded to companies who can demonstrate the most rigorous and professional working practices and was awarded to us by the SSAIB

SSAIB		The SSAIB is the leading certification body for providers of electronic security systems, fire protection and alarm systems. Our certificate number DACO067. Which simply means we are accredited to design, install, commision and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with the requirements of BS5839.

NIC EIC		The NICEIC is the UK's consumer safety organisation and independent regulatory body for the electrical industry. We are registered under our parent company Havills Maintenance Ltd both as Approved Installers and Domestic Installers. NICEIC Domestic Installers are registered to self-certify domestic electrical installation work in England and Wales.

Safe Contractor Approved		Safecontractor is a contractor accreditation scheme that assesses the health & safety competency of contractors. Many large organisations now use Safecontractor as their primary means of selecting contractors. Safecontractor is effectively the clients approved contractor list.

Investors In People		Investors in People is a national initiative aimed at encouraging excellence in approaches to human resources management and enhanced organisational performance. IiP focuses on developing staff to meet organisational priorities and links human resource development to annual planning. We beleive it demonstrates our thoroughness throughout our business practises from advanced installation work to how we manage our work force.
