Unlike electro-magnetic retainers (EMR), Dorgard requires no wiring as it is battery operated and self-contained. Installation is easy, quick and non-disruptive. The Dorgard is affixed to your fire door with four screws and takes approximately 5 minutes to install. Once you have inserted two C-size batteries (supplied), Dorgard is ready for duty.

Dorgard is a Complete Wirelss Solution as it is a Battery Operated Self Contained device. The Dorgard constantly listens for a Sound above 65 db. Once the Fire Alarm sounds the Dorgard will pick up the noise and Appoximately after 14 seconds the Dorgard will release the Fire Door. How does the Dorgard Automatically Release the Doors?
Although the Dorgard can be used to hold open a Fire Door 24 hours a day, It is not ideal at night. The Dorgard has an Automatic Night Time Release Feature. Dorgard has an internal clock, which allows the user to set a time for the Dorgard to Automatically Release a Fire Door. The Dorgard then will not operate as a Hold Open Device until the next morning at a time set by the user. This allows the Dorgard to provide Maximum Protection 24 hours a day. |
