Nittan UV Flame Detector
The NFD-68-P is the direct replacement for the 2VA-P and NFD-18-2 U.V. flame detectors and operates on
the same principle.
The circuitry is designed to provide protection against false alarms and the unit must observe a fire indication for an 8.5 second period before indicating a fire condition to the control panel.
A latching circuit is fitted with an LED indicator operating on the detector until a reset signal is sent from the control panel. Wiring to the detectors is a simple two wire method, with connections to a normal zone pair.
There is also a facility for remote switching via the P terminal.
BASE COMPATIBILITY
The NFD-68-P is supplied as standard with a B4-F base, however the NFD-68-P is also compatible with our STB-4 and RB-3/6 bases.
INSTALLATION
The NFD-68-P may be used to supplement smoke and heat detectors on the same zone especially in the coverage of high compartments where unobstructed line of sight is obtainable.
