WEEE and the Environment
Mission Statement
SD Fire Alarms are committed to improving environmental performance and
reducing any impact made on the environment. The company has been recognised by
Envision (an environmental support programme) for actions to minimise
environmental impacts and improve environmental efficiency. SD Fire Alarms are
currently working towards an ISO 14001 certification through the implementation
of an environmental management system.
Compliance with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE) Regulations.
SD Fire Alarms (Registration ID: 5770) are a member of
Valpak’s ‘Distributor Take Back Scheme’ (DTS). This means that any of our
customers are able to deposit WEEE for recycling at their local site – no matter
where they live in the UK.
The UK’s WEEE collection network now includes all the Civil
Amenity Sites in the UK. These total over 1119 sites with over 95% collecting
all types of WEEE for recycling. For advice on all aspects of recycling,
including recycling of waste electronic equipment or to find your nearest
recycling site for waste electrical goods please visit www.recycle-more.co.uk
